OEM DENTAL INSTRUMENTS

OEM dental instruments: what to define before private-label production.

Plan the article references, logo marking, packaging and approval steps for a practical OEM dental instrument brief.

Turn a private-label idea into an article-level brief

Private-label dental instruments are easier to quote when each requested article has a clear reference. Pair your internal SKU with the proposed factory article, then note the pattern and any non-negotiable features. A logo alone is not a production specification.

State whether you are matching an existing product, extending a catalogue or testing a new line. This helps define which samples and drawings are needed before artwork or packaging is finalized.

Specify marking and packaging separately

Instrument marking and packaging have different approvals. For marking, provide a usable logo file, placement preference, article-number requirement and legibility expectation. For packaging, define the unit pack, label content, barcode needs and outer-carton presentation.

Ask for a layout or sample confirmation before treating either item as approved. Keep the artwork version with the article list so the same details can be referenced on a reorder.

Confirm the decision gates

Set out who approves product samples, branding, labels and the final quotation. Record open questions rather than assuming they are included. This reduces rework and gives the manufacturer a clear sequence for the project.

  • Product and sample approval
  • Marking layout approval
  • Packaging artwork approval
  • Quantity, delivery and commercial confirmation
